The people who built it

MworX, Inc.

MworX is a desktop trading workspace for people who make their own decisions — and want the homework done properly before they make them.

We started where you started

The traders behind MworX began the way most people do: wanting to manage their own investments, and knowing nothing. We studied. We paid for our lessons the expensive way.

Somewhere along that road we realized the tool we wanted did not exist. Screeners returned lists of tickers with no reasoning attached. Platforms showed what they got right and stayed quiet about the rest. Education sat in one place and the actual work sat in another, and nothing connected the trade you took to the thinking that produced it.

What we set out to build

One application that does the homework, explains its reasoning in plain language, keeps honest score, and teaches as it goes — so nobody has to walk the learning road alone.

MworX screens the symbols you care about against documented criteria, and shows you what it found and why it matched. It tracks the trades you take, the dividends you collect, and the results you get. And it grades every one of its own outputs against what actually happened afterwards.

If a trading tool will not show you its misses, ask yourself why.

Why the losses are on the screen

Every result MworX produces is graded to its final outcome, and the record includes the ones that went wrong. That is deliberate, and it is the part we would defend hardest.

A tool that only shows its wins is not telling you how it performs; it is telling you a story. A record that includes the misses is the only kind you can actually use — to judge the software, and to see whether your own decisions are getting better.

What MworX is not

MworX is a publisher. It is not an investment adviser, a broker, or a dealer, and it does not place or route orders. Nothing it produces is a recommendation that any particular security or strategy is suitable for any specific person. Every decision, and every consequence, remains yours.

We think that is the honest arrangement. Software can do the reading, the measuring, and the remembering. Judgement is not its job.

Where it runs

MworX is a desktop application for Windows and macOS, currently in development, with a Beta version on the way. Mobile, iPad and tablet versions are planned. Your trades, notes and records stay on your own machine.

Where we are now

MworX is being finished. Before general release it goes to a beta group of fifty traders whose experience runs from the first year to the twentieth — because software tested only by veterans ships badly for beginners, and the reverse is just as true.

The beta group is the first fifty, not the only fifty.

Applications are open. The questionnaire is there to help us get to know you and what you need from the software — it is not a test you pass or fail.
