Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MworX collects and what you can do about it. It covers the website at mworx.ai and the MworX desktop application.
The short version. Most trading platforms live in the cloud, on servers in a data center, where your confidential data is out of your control. MworX does not work that way. 100% of your trades and financial data reside on your own computer.
This website collects what you send it, and — only if you accept the cookie banner — anonymous analytics about how the site is used.
1. What we collect
When you apply to the beta program, you give us: your first and last name, email address, and optionally a phone number; and your answers about how you trade — instruments, years trading, part-time or full-time, trades per year, an optional income band, and whether you invest in dividend stocks or ETFs.
Automatically, when the application is submitted, our server records your IP address, the country and region it indicates, your browser's user-agent string, the page that referred you, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, and how long the form took to complete.
On the website generally, our hosting provider processes standard request logs, and we do not sell personal data.
2. When using the MworX desktop software
Your financial data stays on your machine — your trades, positions, quantities, prices, cost basis, profit-and-loss records, and personal notes. None of it is transmitted to us, and no cloud account is required for those core features.
3. Your rights
After completing the signup form, you will receive an email with the information you entered on the form. That email is your copy of everything we hold about you.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information.
4. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and data is processed in the United States. If you apply from elsewhere, your data is transferred there. Analytics data, where you have accepted it, is processed by PostHog on the same basis.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Anonymous measurement runs for everyone, with no cookie and no identifier. We count page views, how far down a page each visit scrolled, and what was clicked. Nothing is written to your device, nothing identifies you, and you are not recognized on a later visit. Because nothing is stored, there is nothing here to consent to — this is the counting a site does to know whether anyone read it.
Cookies and session recording are the parts you choose, separately. “Remember this browser” sets a cookie so a return visit is not counted as a new one; it identifies the browser, not you. “Session recording” records how pages are used so we can see where people get stuck, and it needs that cookie to work — turning the cookie off turns the recording off with it. You can switch either on or off at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
What we ask on your first visit depends on where you are.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before any cookie is set. Until you answer, no cookie is written and no recording takes place. Declining gives you exactly the same access to this site as accepting — the only difference is that we cannot recognize you on a later visit and do not record how the page was used.
Everywhere else, analytics start when you arrive and a notice tells you so, with a one-click way to decline. If you leave that notice alone it closes itself after a few seconds and we treat it as accepted — you can still change your mind at any time using Cookie settings. If we cannot tell which country you are in, we ask first and nothing is collected until you answer.
You can change your answer at any time, and we remember your choice rather than asking again.
Strictly necessary storage is always active and is not covered by your choice, because the site cannot work without it. It is two things: the answer you give here, so we do not ask again on every page, and the details you enter on the application form, carried from that page to the confirmation page. Both stay in your browser and neither is sent anywhere.
We set no advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
If you accept, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors arrived from, roughly where in the world they are, and recordings of how pages are used so we can see where people get stuck. PostHog acts as our processor and does not use the data for its own purposes.
What recordings never contain. Anything typed into a form on this site is masked before it leaves your browser — we do not receive it and it is never stored. On the beta application page, all page text is masked as well, and automatic interaction tracking is switched off entirely. We record that an application was submitted; we do not record what was in it.
If you reject, no analytics cookies are set, no recording takes place, and nothing about your visit is sent to PostHog. The site works exactly the same.

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be signposted on the website.
